Clemson receiver, former 4-star recruit, enters transfer portal

Another Clemson player has entered the transfer portal.

Wide receiver T.J. Chase is leaving the program in search of a new home, a Clemson spokesperson confirmed to The State Monday evening.

Chase is the third player to transfer from Clemson this offseason, joining quarterback Chase Brice and defensive lineman Xavier Kelly.

The redshirt junior is expected to be immediately eligible as a graduate transfer.

Chase caught seven passes for 70 yards this season while playing in 12 games. As a junior he hauled in 13 passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns while appearing in all 15 games.

The Florida native arrived at Clemson as a four-star recruit and a top 250 player nationally but struggled to carve out a consistent role with Clemson’s talented group of receivers.
