Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence engaged to high school sweetheart

Trevor Lawrence has had plenty of big moments at Death Valley. Clemson’s star quarterback had one of the biggest of his life on Friday.

Lawrence proposed to his longtime girlfriend and high school sweetheart Marissa Mowry on Friday at Memorial Stadium, and the two are now engaged, they announced on social media.

“Easiest YES of my life!!!” Mowry posted on Instagram.

“FOREVER. You’re everything I’ve dreamed of. I love you and can’t wait to marry you. #Engaged” Lawrence added on his own Instagram post.

Lawrence and Mowry have been in a relationship dating back to their time at Cartersville High in Georgia where Lawrence was the star QB.

Lawrence is now the star quarterback at Clemson and one of the Heisman favorites entering the 2020 season. Mowry plays soccer at Anderson University. She started all 16 matches last season.

Lawrence and Mowry made national headlines this spring when they started a fundraiser to help the fight against COVID-19. The GoFundMe page was originally shut down to comply with NCAA rules, before Lawrence and Mowry received a waiver and started the “Trevor Lawrence and Marissa Mowry COVID-19 Relief Fund” in March.
