Clemson lands four-star commit for second consecutive day

Clemson’s recruiting momentum continued on Wednesday.

The Tigers landed a commitment from four-star offensive lineman Dietrick Pennington Wednesday evening, a day after defensive tackle Payton Page committed to Clemson.

Pennington, who is rated as the No. 208 overall player in the country by the 247Sports Composite rankings, chose the Tigers over offers from Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, LSU and others.

Pennington, a Tennessee native, gives Clemson 15 commits for the class of 2021. Clemson’s class features one five-star recruit, 13 four-star recruits and one three-star prospect in quarterback Bubba Chandler.

The Tigers now have the No. 3 class in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Clemson is only behind No. 1 Ohio State and No. 2 Alabama.
