Clemson tight end to miss season with torn ACL

Clemson will be without a player in 2020 who played in all 15 games last season.

Tigers coach Dabo Swinney announced following Thursday’s practice that tight end Luke Price is out for the season with a torn ACL. Price was injured during a scrimmage last month.

The redshirt junior caught four passes for 41 yards last season. He also contributed on special teams.

Price transitioned from linebacker to tight end during the 2019 offseason.

Price is from Dillon, South Carolina and played high school football for Dillon Christian School. He joined the Tigers as a walk-on prior to the 2017 season.

Clemson will open the season Saturday, Sept. 12 at Wake Forest. The Tigers’ home opener is Sept. 19 against The Citadel.
