Clemson’s Travis Etienne returns to game after going to locker room with injury

Clemson star running back Travis Etienne has returned to the game after going to the locker room with an injury early in the third quarter.

Etienne went to the locker room early in the second half after trainers attempted to stretch him out on the sideline. Lyn-J Dixon and Chez Mellusi received carries while Etienne was out.

Etienne found the end zone shortly after returning to the game, scoring on a 9-yard run early in the fourth quarter.

The Tigers entered Saturday’s matchup as a massive 48-point favorite and lead Syracuse 40-21 early in the fourth quarter.
