Clemson great Hunter Renfrow signs lucrative extension with Raiders, report says
Former Clemson wide receiver Hunter Renfrow has signed a 2-year, $32 million extension with the Las Vegas Raiders that includes $21 million guaranteed, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Friday morning.
The 26-year old Myrtle Beach native was set to play out the final year of his rookie contract at $2.54 million in base salary.
Renfrow is coming off his best season of his young career. In 2021 he propelled himself to his first Pro Bowl appearance thanks to 1,038 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
Renfrow walked on with the Clemson football program after starring at Socastee High School. After being put on scholarship in 2015, he helped lead Clemson to a national title win over Alabama in 2016 and 2018. Renfrow had 2,133 career receiving yards at Clemson along with 15 touchdown catches.
