Clemson safety Andrew Mukuba has been ejected for targeting and will miss the remainder of Saturday night’s game against N.C. State.

Mukuba was ejected for targeting for a tackle attempt on Wolfpack wide receiver Keyon Lesane late in the second quarter.

Mukuba, the reigning ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year, is one of Clemson’s top defenders. He missed last week’s game against Wake Forest with an elbow injury but returned against the Wolfpack.

“Little adversity, lot of challenges,” coach Dabo Swinney told ABC at the half. “Some adversity with calls and all kinds of stuff. But really proud of our guys. We got the lead. This is what a championship type game is all about.”

No. 5 Clemson led No. 10 defeated N.C. State 30-20.
