Clemson injury update
The following players won’t dress for Clemson, per the school:
- CB Sheridan Jones
Coach Dabo Swinney said earlier this week that Jones was dealing with a hip flexor injury. He didn’t dress for Wednesday’s practice.
As a reminder: Clemson is already down starting defensive end Myles Murphy and starting linebacker Trenton Simpson for the contest. Murphy has opted out to prep for the NFL Draft, and Simpson (who’s also leaving for the NFL) is rehabbing a short-term ankle injury.
Tyler Venables, a co-starter at safety, dressed for the Orange Bowl and appears ready to play after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury.
Starting right guard Walker Parks also dressed after practicing on a limited basis earlier in the week. Clemson said Jones is the only player on the two-deep depth chart expected to be unavailable.
Final betting line
Clemson is a 3.5-point favorite in today’s game point spread, according to the VegasInsider consensus betting line. The line opened at Clemson -6.
The over-under for points scored in the game is 61.5.
