Venables believes Florida defensive back could play right away
Defensive back Trayvon Mullen of Pompano Beach, Fla. has his list down to Clemson, LSU and Florida State. Those three will get official visits and he's already set one with the Seminoles for Oct. 10. He's also considering USC, Oregon, Indiana, Ohio State, Auburn and Florida.
Mullen grew up rooting for Clemson and he's not lost that feeling for the Tigers.
"I just liked the way they did things and the way they played," said Mullen who talked recently with Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables. "He said I could play right away with the depth they have a cornerback. I'm a physical player and aggressive."
Mullen also said USC recruiter Lorenzo Ward is keeping the lines of communication with him warm.
"I get love from them (USC) almost every day," he said. "He tells me I can be a different maker in the program. I might visit there."
Mullen said he has no current favorite.
