Clemson football’s transfer portal total is up to six.

Former Auburn cornerback Donovan Starr, Southern Miss safety Corey Myrick and West Georgia defensive tackle Kourtney Kelly all committed to the Tigers and coach Dabo Swinney from Tuesday night through early Wednesday afternoon.

With their commitments, Clemson and Swinney have now signed more scholarship transfers in the last three days (six) than it had in the previous seven years of the portal’s existence (five). All six transfers have been on defense.

Here’s a bit more to know about each player.

Auburn CB Donovan Starr

In 2025, Starr (5-11, 182) appeared in nine games for Auburn but did not record any stats while playing defense and special teams for the SEC team. Coming out of high school, he was ranked as a four-star recruit and the nation’s No. 199 overall player in the 247Sports composite rankings.

247Sports also listed Starr as the No. 25 corner available in the portal. On3 Sports listed him as the No. 16 available transfer cornerback.

Clemson offered Starr a scholarship and recruited him out of Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tennessee. (Ravenwood also produced former Clemson star Jake Briningstool, who set a Tigers record for most career catches by a tight end.)

He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Southern Miss DB Corey Myrick

Myrick (6-3, 200) is a big-bodied safety who was productive for Southern Miss in 2024 with 91 total tackles (47 solo), four pass deflections, two interceptions and a forced fumble. He played at Marshall in 2024 as a true freshman.

247Sports ranked Myrick as the No. 97 safety prospect in the portal. On3 Sports is higher on him as a prospect (No. 469 overall prospect and No. 39 overall safety in the portal, per its in-house rankings).

Myrick was a three-star prospect who generated mostly G5 offers coming out of high school in Cincinnati. He played for coach Charles Huff at Marshall and USM. He comes to Clemson with two years of eligibility left.

West Georgia DT Kourtney Kelly

Kelly (6-3, 281) recorded five sacks, eight tackles for loss and 18 totatl tackles for West Georgia in 2025. UWG is an FCS school that located in Carrollton, Ga. He has three years of eligibility remaining, according to his X page.

247Sports considers Kelly a three-star portal prospect and the No. 94 defensive lineman available. On3 Sports ranks him as the No. 174 defensive lineman available.

The Tigers are losing their top three defensive linemen as junior Peter Woods and super senior DeMonte Capehart left for the 2026 NFL Draft, while promising redshirt sophomore DT Stephiylan Green transferred to LSU.

Clemson is hosting additional transfer portal defensive linemen for visits this week, too, and pushing for reinforcements at that position as well.
