Clemson wraps up big recruiting weekend

Many of the top recruits in South Carolina and around the Southeast were at Clemson on Saturday for the Florida State game. This included prospects for at least the next three years.

Also in attendance was a left-footed punter from Michigan who grew up in Australia. The group included three recruits on official visits, including one of Clemson’s current commitments.

The official visits were taken by current wide receiver commitment Cornell Powell of Greenville, NC; defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence of Wake Forest, NC; and offensive lineman Tremayne Anchrum of Marietta, Ga.

Both of the uncommitted prospects enjoyed their visits, but they did not commit and are planning other visits at this point.

Lawrence is planning to announce his decision on Dec. 14. He also has been to Florida for an official visit and is scheduled for an official visit to Ohio State Nov. 21. He’s also looking at Alabama, Arkansas and NC State.

Anchrum has taken officials to Colorado and Nebraska. He’s also looking at Wake Forest and Boston College for possible visits.
