The Clemson football team held onto its No. 1 ranking in the College Football playoff. The Tigers were also on top last week, the first rankings of the season.

The Tigers are 9-0, 6-0 in the ACC, and coming off a 23-13 win against then-No. 16 Florida State. Clemson has no more games against winning teams in the regular season and could be on course to meet one-loss North Carolina in the conference title game.

Clemson is off to its best start since the 1981 National Title season. They are lead by Heisman-contending quarterback Deshaun Watson and one of the stingiest defenses in the country.
