Rankings the ACC classes

1. Florida State

Best in class: Levonta Taylor, 5-star CB from Virginia.

Best of rest: FSU got 14 4-stars, including DE Brian Burns from Fort Lauderdale and QB Malik Henry from California.

2. Clemson

Best in class: Dexter Lawrence, DE, Wake Forest, N.C. Lawrence No. 2 prospect in nation.

Best of the rest: Tavien Feaster, RB, Spartanburg; John Simpson, OL, North Charleston

3. Miami

Best in class: WR Ahmmon Richards, who chose Miami over Alabama, Auburn and Tennessee.

Best of the rest: TE Michael Irvin II, son of Pro Football Hall of Famer and Canes legend Michael Irvin; and receiver Sam Bruce, nephew of former NFL great Isaac Bruce.

4. Pitt

Best in class: 4-star CB Damar Hamlin from Pittsburgh.

Best of the rest: 4-star Ath. George Hill from Ohio.

5. Duke

Best in class: 4-star Ath. Scott Bracey from Richmond, Va.

Best of the rest: 4-star S Dylan Singleton from Lawrenceville, Ga.

6. North Carolina

Best in class: Kyree Campbell, DT, Woodbridge, Va.

Best of the rest: Chazz Surratt, QB, Denver, N.C.; and Jay-Jay McCargo, OL, Alexandria, Va.

7. Louisville

Best in class: 4-star QB Jawon Pass from Columbus, Ga.

Best of the rest: 4-star WR Desmond Fitzpatrick.

8. Virginia Tech

Best in class: 4-star Dual QB Jerod Evans from Texas.

Best of the rest: 3-star WR Samuel Denmark from Charleston.

9. N.C. State

Best in class: 3-star Thaddeus Moss, TE, from Charlotte.

Best of the rest: DB Nick McCloud from Rock Hill and WR C.J. Riley.

10. Georgia Tech

Best in class: Jordan Woods, DE, Citra, Fla. Woods picked Georgia Tech over Florida, Tennessee and Miami.

Best of the rest: Parker Braun, OL, Hallsview, Tex,; Jay Jones, QB, McCalla, Ala.; and Xavier Gantt, RB, Buford, Ga.

11. Wake Forest

Best in class: Sulaiman Kamara, DT, Richmond, Va.

12. Virginia

Best in class: 3-star OLB Stephen Moye from Georgia.

Best of the rest: CB Nick Grant and OL Dillon Reinkendsmeyer.

13. Syracuse

Best in class: Moe Neal, ATH, Gastonia, N.C. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound Neal was the nation’s 43rd-ranked athlete.

Best of the rest: DE Jaquwan Nelson. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Nelson is rated three stars.

14. Boston College

Best in class: QB Anthony Brown, from Holmdel, N.J. BC was down to its fourth-string QB last year.

Best of the rest: WR Kobay White of Harrisburg, Pa., was a three-time all-state selection.
