Clemson continues to rampage through the state of Florida, positioning itself strongly with one top-flight prospect after another.
Add defensive back Marco Wilson (5-foot-11, 180 pounds) of Plantation to the list of players who have Clemson high up on their list.
Wilson said Clemson, Ohio State, Florida, Tennessee, Miami and Oklahoma are standing out the most to him right now from his nearly 30 offers. He also an offer from South Carolina, which came from the Spurrier staff, but there's been no follow up thus far from the Muscamp staff.
"I hear from Clemson a lot, talking with Coach Venables," Wilson said. "He's telling me about Clemson and that they really want me over there. He loves my technique and the way I play, a physical corner."
Wilson hasn't been to Clemson yet but wants to visit this summer. Some of the schools he has seen are Miami, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and USC which he visited the summer prior to his tenth grade.
Wilson missed all of his junior season with a torn ACL suffered in pre-season camp but completely recovered and running track this spring.
"The injury made me mentally stronger and made me realize I can get through any situation," Wilson said.
He does not have a leader among his top schools right now and is looking at a decision during his senior season.
