Tristin English hit a three-run homer in the top of the first to highlight the Yellow Jackets’ four-run opening inning. Georgia Tech, which belted 21 hits and four home runs in the game, added two runs in the second inning and five runs in the fourth before English hit his second homer of the game in the fifth.

Chase Pinder hit a solo homer, his ninth of the year, in the bottom of the first for the Tigers’ lone run.

Ben Parr (7-0) pitched five innings in relief to earn the win. He gave up one hit, no runs and one walk with four strikeouts. Alex Eubanks (2-4) took the loss for Clemson. Eubanks gave up four runs on five hits. He recorded one out in the first inning before being pulled.

Completion of suspended game

Eli White’s line-drive single to left field with one out in the 10th inning lifted Clemson to an 8-7 win over Georgia Tech at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in a game that started Friday. The game had been suspended in the eighth inning due to inclement weather, and was completed Saturday.

The Tigers scored two runs in the second inning thanks in large part to two errors. But Georgia Tech stormed back with Connor Justus’ solo homer in the third inning along with two runs in the fifth inning, three runs in the sixth inning and a run in the top of the seventh inning to build a 7-2 lead.

Clemson answered with five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning after a crucial two-out error that allowed the first run to score. Chris Okey then belted a three-run double, followed by Reed Rohlman’s single to tie score 7-7. After the game resumed on Saturday, Rohlman led off the 10th inning with a single and moved to second on a groundout before scoring on White’s walkoff single.

Pat Krall (6-1) earned the win by allowing one hit, no runs and one walk in three innings pitched. Matthew Gorst (0-1) suffered the loss.
