Clemson Tigers falter in ninth
Alex Eubanks gave up two unearned runs in the bottom of the ninth as Georgia Southern rallied to defeat Clemson 7-6 on Saturday night.
With two outs in the ninth, C.J. Ballard scored when Logan Baldwin struck out, but reached on a passed ball, prolonging the inning and tying the game. Jordan Wren then singled in Evan McDonald to give Georgia Southern (31-21) the win.
Seth Beer homered for Clemson (33-18).
Pat Krall gave up five runs in seven innings in the start for the Tigers.
Landon Hughes got the win with 3 2/3 scoreless innings.
