Newberry men in fifth after two rounds
Senior Evan DeGrazia fired an even-par 70 Tuesday, helping Newberry to a share of fifth place after two rounds in the NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championship in Kissimmee, Fla.
The Wolves’ team score ballooned from Monday’s 2-over to 13-over in the second round. At plus-15, Newberry is deadlocked with Ferris State (Mich.).
In the individual standings, DeGrazia is tied for 17th at 2-over 142 and both Carlos Leandro and Harry Bolton are tied for 23rd at 143.
Barry College (Fla.) leads the 20-team field at 8-under, four strokes in front of West Florida.
