Way-too-early bowl projections: Where USC, Clemson could land
South Carolina against Minnesota in the TaxSlayer Bowl is the projection for 2015-16 postseason by the Associated Press.
The TaxSlayer Bowl, formerly known as the Gator Bowl, is played in Jacksonville, Fla., at noon on Jan 2. USC has played in the Gator Bowl four times, the last trip coming in 1987.
Tennessee represented the SEC last season in the TaxSlayer Bowl with a 6-6 regular season record. The Vols defeated Iowa 45-28 in the game.
Clemson is projected to face Alabama in this season’s Peach Bowl in Atlanta. That game is played at noon Dec. 31 and is one of the four selection committee bowl games.
