Clash slated for Saturday on Daniel Island

The Clash of the Carolinas prep soccer all-star event, which features the top boys and girls graduated seniors from North Carolina and South Carolina, will be played on Saturday at Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island.

The girls game is at noon and the boys game is at 2:15 p.m.

The Midlands players on the S.C. boys team are Jon Aldinger, River Bluff; David Koprowski, Brookland-Cayce; Daniel McClam, A.C. Flora; Gian Ortega, River Bluff; and Max Westerkam, Irmo

The Midlands players on the S.C. girls roster are Ashley Edmunds, Spring Valley; Kirsten Ellinger, Dreher; Shelby Green, Chapin; Kathryn Greer, Brookland-Cayce; Mary Jordan Hiller, Dutch Fork; and Hayley Younginer, Dutch Fork.

The S.C. girls head coach is Steve Lea of Spring Valley.
