West Columbia’s Jonathan Kinsey wins Springdale race
The Springdale 5K race on Aug. 8 drew 128 runners for the sunrise start. West Columbia’s Jonathan Kinsey, 30, was first overall at 16:26. Chapin’s Ryan Plexico, 31, was second at 17:15. Third, at 17:47, was Nicholas LeFever, 16.
Lugoff’s Heather Costello, 37, was the first female, 11th overall at 19:52. Sharon Cole, 47, from Ridgeway, was second female at 21:52 and first Masters Female overall. Lugoff’s Martie Gail McCallum, 35, was 22nd overall and third female at 22:39.
The Stomp the Swamp 5K at River Bluff High on Aug. 29 had 189 finishers led by Michael Nance, 38, at 18:34. Darryl Hammond, 51, was second overall at 18:52 and followed by John Henis, 49, in third place at 19:37.
Devon Shirley, 32, was first female overall at 20:14 and sixth overall. Jennifer Conrick, 45, finished 15th overall at 22:17 and was first Masters Female. Joyce Welch, 46, finished at 23:27, 26th overall and second Masters Female.
