255 points later, Newberry wins in overtime

The two teams combined for 255 points in Newberry’s 133-122 overtime victory over Lenoir-Rhyne on Wednesday night.

Newberry shot 50.5 percent from the field and 40 percent from the 3-point marker.

Brandon Taylor and Will Perry each had 29 points to lead Newberry. Taylor had 10 rebounds to complete a double-double.

The Wolves scored 28 points in overtime, including 14 by Taylor.

Lenoir-Rhyne’s Keenan Palmore hit a layup with one second left to tie the game at 105-105 in regulation.
