Heroes welcome awaits CWS champion Chanticleers

Civil and college leaders are planning a heroes welcome for the the new College World Series champion Chanticleers.

The team is expected to arrive home Thursday night around 11 p.m. at the General Aviation Airport gate of the Myrtle Beach International Airport. Fans are being encouraged to cheer the team’s homecoming Thursday night. at the airport.

Full festivities are planned for Friday starting with a motorcade parade through downtown Conway at 1:30 p.m. and ending around 2 p.m. in a rally and ceremony at Springs Brooks Baseball Stadium at the TD Sports Complex at on West Chanticleer Drive.

FRIDAY, July 1

1:30 p.m.

Motorcade and parade through downtown Conway. Fans are encouraged top line the streets

2:00 p.m.

Team arrival at TD Sports Complex on West Chanticleer Drive. Fans will form a gauntlet at the Chauncey statue and cheer the team’s arrival all the way to Springs Brooks Baseball Stadium.

(If it rains, the rally will be held at the HTC Students Recreation and Convocation Center)
