USC athletes react to ‘unbelievable’ end of seasons, careers from coronavirus impact

South Carolina athletes reacted to the news their seasons or college careers were over or were postponed after the NCAA announced Thursday it was canceling all winter and spring sports championships.

The NCAA canceled the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments and the College World Series in response to the growing spread of the COVID-19 disease. The SEC, along with several other college conferences, also announced Thursday that it was suspending all competitions, including its men’s basketball tournament, through March 30.

No decision has been made, according to reports, regarding whether or not all spring sports seasons are actually over.
