South Carolina women’s soccer tops Wisconsin to make Sweet 16
The South Carolina women’s soccer team held off Wisconsin 1-0 at Stone Stadium on Friday night to reach the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament. It’s the third time in four years the Gamecocks (17-2-1) have advanced this far.

USC got a goal from Luciana Zullo in the 38th minute. Mikayla Krzeczowski made two saves to secure the shutout win.
The Gamecocks will host Santa Clara (15-6-1) in the next round. The Broncos topped Vanderbilt 3-1. The teams will face off Sunday at 2 p.m.
