What are the greatest moments in South Carolina’s athletic history?

Dethroning No. 1 Alabama? Women’s soccer advancing to the Elite Eight? Men’s basketball winning the SEC?

Almost every program-defining game will be eligible to be shown on July 9, when the Gamecocks “take over” the SEC Network. The network’s initiative to have every school show 24 hours of its own programming is already in motion.

USC hasn’t released its schedule, so we’re asking you – what would you like to see? There are guidelines to consider when voting:

1. USC can only pick games that ESPN has the rights to. That means that the 2010 and 2011 College World Series championships are not eligible, since the NCAA has the rights to all postseason baseball. “NCAA Championships were unavailable for schools to air this year during their Takeover day. We are evaluating options to air (NCAA Championship) games in future years should a school want to include,” according to a statement from ESPN.

2. Keep in mind that some film may not be available. Is there existing footage of the 1971 ACC tournament championship (Kevin Joyce out-jumps Lee Dedmon) that has been formatted for TV? Are the 1984 “Black Magic” games in that same boat?

USC will release the full, official schedule on Tuesday.
