USC has 18th-consecutive semester of a combined 3.0 GPA

South Carolina student-athletes posted a combined 3.171 grade point average (GPA), according to Maria Hickman, associate AD for Academics and Student Development.

The 3.171 GPA extended the department’s streak to 18-consecutive semesters in which the student-athletes combined for a GPA of 3.0 or better, with 15 of the 18 teams earning at least a 3.0 GPA.

Women’s golf led with a combined 3.739 team GPA. Men’s swimming and diving also was highlighted for posting its second-best GPA on record, a mark of 3.367. The department named 66 student-athletes to the President’s List (4.0 GPA), 172 to the Dean’s List (3.5) and 360 to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll (3.0).
