South Carolina’s softball team learned Sunday night where they’d land in the NCAA Tournament.
The Gamecocks drew South Florida to open the Florida State regional. The host Seminoles will begin with Florida A&M.
This is the third year in a row the bracket puts South Carolina in Tallahassee.
The Gamecocks went 36-21 on the season, but were 11th in the SEC with a 7-17 record. They did take a game from Alabama, the No. 6 national seed.
South Florida went 44-14 this season, including a 15-3 conference record which secured the Bulls an American Athletic Conference title.
