Dambaugh in 10th, USC in ninth at NCAA tourney

Katelyn Dambaugh shot a 1-over par 73 on Saturday in the second round of the NCAA women’s golf tournament, tied for 10th individually, and South Carolina is in ninth after a team round of 1-over 289.

Dambaugh has a two-day total of 2-under 142, with Miami’s Dewi Weber in the lead at 9-under 135. South Carolina is at 6-over 582 after two days. Southern Cal is the overall team leader at 8-under. The Trojans shot 7-under as a team on Saturday.

Individually for South Carolina, Ainhoa Olarra is at 144. Sarah Schmelzel is at 146. Isi Nilsson is at 150, while Marion Veysseyre has a two-day total of 157.

Furman is 22nd at 9-over 595 after two days. Furman’s Taylor Totford shot an even-par 72 on Saturday for a two-day total of 148, tied with teammate Haylee Harford. Furman’s Alice Chen is a stroke back at 149.

Clemson’s lone golfer Lauren Stephenson shot a 1-under 71 on Saturday. She has a two-day 146.
