The verbal sparring match between Alabama head coach Nick Saban and Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher this week about names, image, likeness deals within college football was turned into a hilarious video by SEC Shorts.

As stated on its YouTube channel’s description for the video, “it’s been a slow off-season, that is until Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher got into a very public knock down, drag out verbal fight about NIL deals and paying players. Now that they have put it out there in the public area, Mom has to come in and settle them both down.”

In the video, three characters are portrayed: the mom and two kids — one representing the Aggies and the other representing the Crimson Tide.

The mom begins by asking them with three months left in the offseason, why can’t they keep the peace going.

And that leads to both A&M and Bama characters blaming each other for “Starting it.”

The Bama character accuses the A&M character of paying players, which the A&M character says you can do that now to which the Bama character says not the way they’re doing it.

The incident stems from when Saban spoke in Birmingham, Alabama on Wednesday night.

“I know the consequence is going to be difficult for the people who are spending tons of money to get players,” Saban said, according to AL.com. “You read about it, you know who they are. We were second in recruiting last year. A&M was first. A&M bought every player on their team. Made a deal for name, image and likeness..”

“We didn’t buy one player. Aight? But I don’t know if we’re going to be able to sustain that in the future, because more and more people are doing it. It’s tough.”

Saban also directed comments allegedly Jackson State paid a player $1 million to go to the HBCU.

Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders and Travis Hunter, the top recruit that shocked college football by signing with Jackson State in December, denied that via Twitter.

And so did Fisher, who called Saban a “narcissist,” in a news conference Thursday. Fisher also said the Aggies had not broken any rules and pushed back against Saban, according to ESPN.

So SEC Shorts recapped it in a 2 minute, 3 second video.
