Gamecock great Christian Walker caps monster minor league season with MVP honor
Former South Carolina star Christian Walker was honored for his incredible season on Friday when he was named the Pacific Coast League Most Valuable Player.
The Reno Aces first baseman leads minor league baseball with 113 RBIs.
Walker has hit 32 home runs and is one of three players in professional baseball with at least 30 homers, 100 RBIs and 100 runs scored. Giancarlo Stanton and Paul Goldschmidt are the other two players that have accomplished the feat.
