Video: Blake Cooper, Cubs and a camper

Former South Carolina standout pitcher Blake Cooper was featured in the Des Moines (Iowa) Register this week, partly for his success on the field but also for the place he calls home.

Cooper and his wife, Casey, live in a 27-foot Fleetwood Mallard camper at a campground during the Pacific Coast League season. They explained why in the story published by the Register.

Cooper pitches in Des Moines for the Iowa Cubs, the triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. He is 2-1 with a 1.56 ERA in 12 appearances in 2015.

He was 34-14 over four seasons with the Gamecocks, including a 13-2 record in USC’s 2010 baseball national championship season.
