Grayson Greiner had himself a nice moment when he hit his first career home run last weekend.
It appears he’s not slowing down when it comes to the long ball.
Greiner, a catcher for the Detroit Tigers, homered Friday night for his third blast in his past four games. He took 44 games to hit the first one of his Major League career.
The three home runs came over 11 at-bats. His two-run shot Friday night went 353 feet to left field.
The Blythewood High School alum is in his second season with the Tigers. He came into the game hitting .230 in 61 at-bats.
Last season was his first in the majors. He got 96 at-bats and posted a .328 on-base percentage in 30 games (27 starts).
Greiner was a freshman starter on USC’s 2012 College World Series runner-up team. He was a .278 college hitter with 18 home runs and 120 RBIs. He was a third-round draft pick.
