USC Gamecocks Baseball

Here’s when South Carolina baseball, softball will be streaming, on TV in 2020

South Carolina baseball will play eight games on national television this season, as the Gamecocks look to bounce back from a disappointing 2019 and return to the NCAA tournament.

Coach Mark Kingston’s Gamecocks will also be streamed online 42 times on SEC Network. The USC softball team will have 13 games on regular TV channels and 38 on digital streams.

USC’s annual rivalry home game with Clemson will be streamed online. TV details for the neutral site game at Segra Park and the away game at Clemson were not released.

The Gamecocks are coming off a forgettable year in which they finished 28-28 and tied the program record for losses in a season. They also missed the NCAA tournament for the third time in five years and struggled as injuries ravaged the pitching staff and the lineup set a program record for strikeouts and hit just .236.

Key returners include starting pitcher Carmen Mlodzinski, who missed most of last year with injury but saw his draft stock explode after an outstanding summer and fall, second baseman Noah Campbell, who entered last year with plenty of hype but disappointed, only to bounce back with a solid summer, and outfielder Andrew Eyster, who led the team with a .309 average last year.

Coach Mark Kingston also brought in a highly-rated recruiting class heavy on junior college transfers — Baseball America rated the newcomers class the 11th best in the nation, and D1Baseball.com pegged it at No. 9.
