South Carolina baseball announces 2024 SEC schedule. See key dates, opponents
South Carolina baseball got its first half of the 2024 schedule, with the SEC announcing its full conference schedule Wednesday afternoon.
The Gamecocks play 10 conference opponents, with the conference tournament in late May in Hoover, Alabama.
USC will host five conferences series, three of which come against teams that finished last season ranked in the D1 Baseball Top 25. Four total opponents were ranked at some point during last season.
The Gamecocks won’t see NCAA champion LSU as a conference opponent, but will face national runner-up Florida on the road in their third road series of conference play.
Head coach Mark Kingston enters his seventh season leading South Carolina after finishing third in the SEC East behind Florida and Vanderbilt.
He led the team to a 16-13 conference record and 42-21 overall record in the 2023 campaign that ended in the NCAA Super Regionals. Kingston also signed a contract extension during the offseason through 2027.
