Here’s how to watch and stream South Carolina Gamecocks baseball games in 2024
Coming off an NCAA Super Regional appearance, the South Carolina baseball team will play at least eight games on national television this season.
Dozens more USC games will be available via streaming services, and every game, as per usual, will be available via radio in the Columbia area on the program’s flagship station, 107.5 FM The Game.
The Gamecocks are set to play seven games on SEC Network and an eighth game on ESPNU, according to a news release earlier this month. USC could also be selected to play a ninth game on the ESPN family of networks, and all of its home games at Founders Parks and non-televised SEC games will be available for streaming via SEC Network Plus.
This year’s SEC Network Plus schedule includes South Carolina’s season-opening home series against Miami (Ohio) this weekend. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. Friday.
The streaming channel SEC Network Plus is “accessible with your TV provider credentials and is available via the ESPN app on smartphones, tablets, connected streaming devices or espn.com/watch,” according to an ESPN release.
There’s plenty of excitement surrounding the Gamecocks in coach Mark Kingston’s seventh season. In 2023, South Carolina ranked as high as No. 3 nationally, hosted its first NCAA Tournament regional since 2021 and advanced to its first Super Regional since 2018.
South Carolina finished last year 42-21 and debuted at No. 25 in the 2024 D1Baseball’s preseason Top 25 rankings. USC was predicted to finish fourth in the SEC East behind Florida, Tennessee and Vanderbilt by the leagues’ coaches and landed two players — outfielder Ethan Petry and catcher Cole Messina — on the preseason All-SEC first team.
USC will make its first appearance on national TV on March 16 at Ole Miss and will play six other SEC games on either SEC Network or ESPNU. South Carolina also has a nationally televised midweek game against Georgia Southern on April 3 (SECN).
ESPN has six “wildcard slots” reserved for the final week of the regular season, meaning South Carolina could be selected for more TV games during its SEC series finale against Tennessee running May 16-18.
All of South Carolina’s games in the 2024 SEC Tournament will also be nationally televised. SEC Network will broadcast every game of the tournament held annually in Hoover, Alabama outside of the championship game, which will be broadcast on ESPN2.
In total, all but three of South Carolina baseball’s regular-season games will be either nationally televised or available via streaming services.
You can also listen to every South Carolina baseball game on the Gamecock Radio Network via 107.5 FM The Game, the program’s flagship station. Derek Scott will do play-by-play, and former USC baseball assistant coach Stuart Lake is the new color commentator.
Lake replaces the late, great Tommy Moody, a former Gamecocks letterman who had worked as the team’s radio color commentator since 2000 until his death in October at age 72.
