South Carolina baseball moving up in polls

South Carolina continues to rise in national baseball polls after going 5-0 in games this past week.

Carolina’s highest ranking is in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll, which has the Gamecocks ranked No. 12.

USC is ranked No. 16 by D1Baseball.com and No. 20 by Collegiate Baseball. Carolina remains unranked by Perfect Game and Baseball America.

USC beat Wofford and Furman in midweek games before sweeping Charleston Southern over the weekend.

South Carolina faces USC Upstate Tuesday at Fluor Field in Greenville before hosting Davidson Wednesday.

The Gamecocks begin SEC play this weekend, hosting Arkansas in a three-game series.
