South Carolina baseball in top 5 in polls after 4-0 week
South Carolina is back in the top 5 in the college baseball polls after going 4-0 this past week with a win over Coastal Carolina and three victories over Tennessee.
The Gamecocks are ranked as high as No. 2 by Collegiate Baseball, while Baseball America has Carolina at No. 5.
The Gamecocks are also No. 2 in the RPI, which was released by the NCAA on Monday.
USC is ranked No. 8 by D1Baseball, as well as Perfect Game.
South Carolina plays North Carolina in Charlotte on Tuesday at 7 p.m. before traveling to Georgia for a three-game series this weekend.
The Gamecocks (28-5) are 10-2 in the SEC and have a two-game lead over Florida, Mississippi State and Kentucky. South Carolina is off to its best start in SEC play in school history.
