Gamecocks drop in polls after losing series to Texas A&M

South Carolina slipped in the college baseball polls after a 2-2 week that included a 2-1 series loss to Texas A&M.

The Gamecocks fell two spots to No. 10 in the Baseball America Poll and were also dropped two spots to No. 11 by D1Baseball.com.

Perfect Game and Collegiate Baseball still have USC ranked in the top eight with Perfect Game holding steady with its No. 8 ranking and Collegiate Baseball dropping Carolina three spots to No. 6.

South Carolina hosts The Citadel Tuesday night at 7 p.m. before traveling to Alabama for a three-game series with the Crimson Tide beginning on Thursday.

USC is currently fourth in the SEC standings, one game back of Florida and a half-game back of Texas A&M and Mississippi State.
