Video: Brandon McIlwain gets first hit for Gamecocks
South Carolina freshman outfielder (and quarterback) Brandon McIlwain recorded the first hit of his college baseball career Tuesday night in the 16-4 win over The Citadel at Founders Park.
McIlwain connected for an RBI single in the 8th inning and is now 1-for-10 on the season.
He entered the game in the 5th inning when he pinch-hit for Dom-Thompson Williams. McIlwain finished the night 1-for-3.
