South Carolina P Braden Webb taken by Milwaukee in MLB Draft

The first South Carolina baseball player is off the board in the MLB Draft.

South Carolina right-handed pitcher Braden Webb was drafted in the third round, No. 82 overall, Friday by the Milwaukee Brewers. The slot value for where he was taken is $764,800.

The freshman went 10-5 with a 3.24 ERA and 123 strikeouts in 94 1/3 innings. He earned freshman All-SEC and freshman All-American honors.

Wil Crowe, Dom Thompson-Williams and Gene Cone could all be in line to be taken later in the day.
