Teammate on Jake Bentley TD celebration: ‘He’s got to work on that’
After South Carolina quarterback Jake Bentley scored his first college touchdowns, he didn’t hold back his emotions.
There were fist pumps. There was a leap to meet teammate Brandon McIlwain in mid-air. There were arms raised, index fingers aloft, earning him a picture-and-picture comparison with pro football Hall of Famer Brett Favre.

While the debut when well, one teammate said Bentley has a little work to do on his post-scoring festivities.
“He’s got to work on that,” safety D.J. Smith said with a grin. “He’s definitely got to work on that. He’s got to get something, something.”
College football doesn’t always allow for the most creative celebrations, but perhaps he could look somewhere for guidance?
“He needs to watch Cam Newton for some celebration moves,” Smith said. “That’s what I feel like. That’ll maybe get him going.”
