Melvin Ingram locks up lucrative deal with Chargers
Melvin Ingram is getting paid.
The former South Carolina standout on Sunday signed a four-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers, the team announced. The terms are four years for $66 million, according to reports.
The Chargers (then in San Diego) selected Ingram with the 18th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
Ingram is only the seventh player the Chargers had used their franchise tag on and the first since 2011, but the two sides were able to reach a deal on a long-term contract. He has 18.5 sacks and 32 tackles-for-loss in the last two seasons.
Chargers and Franchise player Melvin Ingram reached agreement on a four-year deal.
