Breaking down the Clemson signing class
IMMEDIATE HELP
Martavis Bryant, WR
Tall, runs in long strides and should be an immediate deep threat for the Tigers. He's got speed and good hands. Could make fans forget about Jacoby Ford.
Corey Crawford, DE
Played linebacker as a junior in high school, so he's still learning to play defensive end. He's got great size and potential. Could join players trying to replace Ricky Sapp.
DeAndre Hopkins, ATH
Tall and long, he also has great size and speed. He could be in the mix to play wide receiver or defensive back.
Victor Beasley, TE
Son of a former Auburn player, he has great size and could figure in as Clemson tries to replace Michael Palmer.

PROJECTS
Tra Thomas, DT
Picked Clemson over Duke, East Carolina, Marshall, Michigan State, Navy and North Carolina State.
Sam Cooper, TE
Has good height and size. Picked Clemson over Duke. Lowest rated Clemson signee by rivals.com (2 stars).
Gifford Timothy, OL
Delaware product is the tallest Clemson recruit (6-foot-6), but needs lots of work on strength and fundamentals.
--------------------
STEALS
Justin Parker, LB
He was a South Carolina lean for a long time, but in the past few weeks he started favoring the Tigers and committed on Wednesday.
David Beasley, G
The Tigers held onto the Columbus, Ga., player despite a strong push from the Georgia Bulldogs.
D.J. Howard, ATH
Pledged to Auburn before changing his mind.
--------------------
ONES WHO GOT AWAY
Keenan Allen, DB
Decommitted from Alabama and was considering Clemson. But he signed with Cal. One of the nation's top recruits.
Zach Maynard, QB
Allen's half-brother, Maynard also signed with Cal in a package deal. They both had visited Clemson.
Marcus Lattimore
He played in Clemson's backyard at Byrnes, but the Tigers were never a factor in his recruitment.
