Report: Lattimore will have first surgery Friday
According to a report by WSPA in Spartanburg, USC running back Marcus Lattimore will have surgery on his injured right knee Friday.
This is the first of what could be multiple surgeries on the knee that USC officials said was dislocated and suffered severe ligament damage last week against Tennessee.
Gamecock coach Steve Spurrier said this week Lattimore plans to play again, although he wasn’t sure if it would be next year or in 2014.
This is the second knee injury Lattimore has suffered in as many seasons. A year ago he tore the ACL in his left knee at Mississippi State. That injury cost him the second half of his sophomore season. The good news is his surgically repaired left knee is still intact.
