Watch: Remember when DJ Swearinger set the tone vs. Clemson
Former South Carolina football safety D.J. Swearinger was a player blessed with a great deal of fire.
Sometimes that meant personal fouls, more often it meant game-changing plays. And he seemed to come up the biggest against Clemson.
Need the original clip of this so bad. The game was over right then. The hardest thing I’ve ever seen @Gamecockology @JustinKing @kevwilks3 @ben_jammin92 @GamecockVideo @JungleBoi_Swagg pic.twitter.com/UAlxtIWtIa

And that sometimes extended to before the games, like this moment, where his first breakup came in warmups, batting away a pass as he bounded on the field.
That was the 2012 game, when South Carolina won 27-17 behind Dylan Thompson's three scores.
And Swearinger didn't just do his work before kickoff, as he delivered the iconic hit that planted Andre Ellington.
Top 5️⃣ sports memory I have. @JungleBoi_Swagg = tone-setter
