South Carolina defensive back to transfer
Kaleb Chalmers’ time at South Carolina is over.
The redshirt sophomore defensive back will transfer in search of more playing time, South Carolina coach Will Muschamp announced Wednesday.
He played in two of the Gamecocks’ games in 2017, recording no stats.
Chalmers joined the Gamecocks for this year after a season at Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, Miss. He is from Greenwood High and signed with Clemson out of high school.
