Early look: ESPN’s SEC football power rankings for 2015
ESPN ranks South Carolina No. 11 in their SEC power rankings for the 2015 season.
Here’s what ESPN.com says about the Gamecocks:
“There’s a bit of a quarterback battle, but Connor Mitch is still the presumed favorite. He didn’t run away with the lead this spring, but he was the most consistent passer of the bunch. The offense still doesn’t seem to be as big of a worry as the defense. Co-defensive coordinator Jon Hoke was brought in to help Lorenzo Ward run that side, which should help, but neither can be a pass-rusher for the Gamecocks. The line needs vast improvement if this defense is going to improve.”
The rankings:
1. Auburn
2. Georgia
3. Ole Miss
4. Alabama
5. Arkansas
6. Tennessee
7. Mississippi State
8. LSU
9. Missouri
10. Texas A&M
11. South Carolina
12. Florida
13. Kentucky
14. Vanderbilt
