Steve Spurrier gets his chance to catch a spring game TD, and it doesn't go well
The pass from Michael Scarnecchia was probably the sort former South Carolina football coach Steve Spurrier would've approved of.
He still couldn't handle it.
The winningest coach in the program's history was in line to catch the off-the-bench touchdown play during Saturday's spring game at Williams-Brice. But the former Heisman winner couldn't hold on, and gave a roll after dropping it for a little dramatic effect.
Spurrier was in town for a golf event.
