Gamecocks reveal uniform combination for Belk Bowl vs. Virginia

South Carolina football is going black and white to close out the season, and paid a little homage to a former player.

The Gamecocks will go with black pants, white jerseys, black helmets as they look to win game No. 8 on the season in the Belk Bowl. In the video to announce it was former Gamecock and current Panther Damiere Byrd, whose field the bowl will be played on.

That’s the look they wore for the opener last season, when they beat N.C. State at Bank of America Stadium. They also wore it for the Ole Miss game this season.

The teams have not met since 2003. South Carolina won the last meeting 31-7, upsetting a top-15 team.

Kickoff is at noon Saturday in Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium.

▪ Clemson: White pants, white jersey, white helmets

▪ Florida: Black pants, white jersey, garnet helmet

▪ Ole Miss: Black pants, white jersey, Black helmet.

▪ Texas A&M: Black pants, black jersey, white helmet.

▪ Missouri: Garnet pants, garnet jersey, garnet helmet.

▪ Kentucky: white jersey, garnet pants, white helmet

▪ Vanderbilt: White helmets, white jersey, white pants

▪ Georgia: Garnet helmets, garnet jersey, black pants

▪ Coastal Carolina: Garnet helmets, white pants, and a garnet jersey.
