South Carolina’s KC Crosby getting his shot at NFL minicamp

Another South Carolina football alum will have at least a shot at the NFL.

Gamecocks tight end K.C. Crosby is currently at a minicamp with the New York Giants his father confirmed to The State. Crosby had gone undrafted over the weekend.

A training center he worked out at had tweeted the news Thursday.

Cosby spent five seasons in Columbia, starting 19 games.

As a redshirt sophomore, he found his way into the starting lineup, catching 23 balls for 217 yards and four touchdowns. The next year, a broken leg sidelined him for more than half the season.

In 2018, he shared the Comeback Player of the Year Award given by the coaches after starting nine games. He collected 149 yards on 14 catches and was the most productive tight end on the roster.

At 6-foot-1, 236 pounds, he was a bit of a ‘tweener as a player, but managed to carve out a productive college career.

He’s the fourth undrafted Gamecock to get an NFL shot, joining Zack Bailey, Keisean Nixon and Blake Camper.
